One of the all-time greats, Ott played his entire 22-career for the New York Giants from 1926-1947. He was one of the most feared power hitters of his time leading the National League in homeruns 6 times and he was the first National League player to hit 500 home runs. A 12-time National League All-Star, he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1951. He tragically died in an automobile accident in 1958 at the age of 49.
